Welcome to the Bucksport Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. Come on in and look through our site. We will tell you about our region, our members and our businesses. If you have any questions or need more information we have provided you ways to contact us. We are a growing chamber with 200 members and enjoy being active.
We welcome new businesses and work hard to continue supporting our established businesses.
Our area has lots to do. You can shop, hike, canoe, kayak, enjoy a movie, eat ice cream and relax with a great cup of coffee. Want to take your boat out, or take a day cruise we can help you arrange that. In the winter you can snow shoe, cross country ski and use the snowmobile trails. Reading is important in Maine and our bookstore is first class. Just don’t sit on the cats chair! We have great places to stay and relaxed dining.
The Bucksport Bay Festival, Orland River Day, The Pumpkin Fest in Blue Hill, Searsport’s Fling into Fall, Spirit of the Holidays, Ghostport, The Pirates are Coming are all events to enjoy this year.
There are many opportunities to volunteer and clubs to join. So enjoy your tour of our site and come visit us at 52 Main Street, Bucksport, Maine.

Hello all,
Well I have to say there is nothing like a good baptism by fire. The Bay Festival went well in-spite of the afternoon rain. As I made my rounds, at the festival, I heard a lot of positive feedback from the public, the vendors and the volunteers. The bands were a big hit this year and hopefully we can bring them back next. All the credit must go to Jim Zeman and the volunteers. Thank you all for making this year's event such a success! This was Jim's last year as our festival coordinator and he has passed the torch to me. It is a monumental task but I am excited to do so. |

Now that things are calming down, I will start to work on my personal goal of meeting all of our chamber members. I feel, as your new executive director, that it is vital I get to know each and every one of you. My success depends on you. I look forward to learning what you and your business offers our area. Equally important, I need to find out how we can work together to help you flourish!
Please feel free to contact me with any thoughts, suggestions and complaints.
Wishing you prosperity,
Leslie Wombacher

| Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony |
This year's Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony was fun and sent a great message. Thank you Nancy Smith for leaving us with the inspirational message and reminding us that the most basic economic development plan for a downtown is to shop local.
Thank you to our many sponsors, including all who sponsored a hero allowing us to honor the Orland Boy Scout Troop 102 and Venture Crew 1102 for their rescue efforts. I am glad so many of you could attend. Congratulations to the award winners, you are all very deserving. |

Meet our Members
|
Fellows, Kee, Tymoczko & Pierson, LLC, has been a Main Street business since 1983 when David Kee and Bill Tymoczko became partners. The firm was previously known as Fellows, Kee & Nesbitt. Fellows, Kee, Tymoczko & Pierson, LLC is a full service law firm offering clients assistance in real estate matters, elder law, estate issues and in personal injury/workers' compensation cases. David Kee retired in 1998. Bill then practiced with Bronwen Pierson, who became a partner in the firm in 2002. Bronwen's father, Paul "Ted" Pierson, a former Superior Court Justice, has became "Of Counsel" with the firm. Bronwen has become "Of Counsel" as well, and Christina Perkins has joined the practice as the firm's newest attorney. Their experienced staff includes Caryn Howard and Lisa Sutherland.
In January 2002 the firm relocated to a larger office space located at 149 U.S. Route 1, next to McDonald's. Our larger facility allows us to accommodate our growing business and provide for our clients easy access and ample off-street parking. |

Simply refer a new member to join the BBACC. In order to be "new," they must either have never been a member or have been a non-member for at least 2 years. Once your referral becomes active, you will receive a $25 discount (or refund if you've already paid) toward your membership dues. This offer is valid up to the full amount of your 2013 dues. So get out there and Refer a New Member and Save!
2013 Friend of the Chamber
Do you want to support the Chamber? Do you want to take part in Chamber events, but don't have a business to join under? We have a solution. For 2013, the BBACC has created a "Friend of the Chamber" membership. The $50 membership dues give you (an individual) access to all the chamber activities (business after hours, business breakfasts, annual dinner, golf tournament, christmas party, etc) and give you an opportunity to support the Chamber financially. The membership DOES NOT include business benefits (oil discount program, 24 hour information center, etc). If you would like to join the Chamber as a Friend of the Chamber, please call us today! |
